All you really need to get into SAP marketplace is a good connection. I was at a project run by Hitachi Consulting. Hitachi hired one of their VP’s brother from Brazil and got him on H1 to be development manager. This guy has no idea of SAP. VP’s name is Roberto Kristen and his development manager brother is Lincoln Kristen. One of my buddy revealed few of Lincoln’s insite about SAP projects as below:
1) Developers will create User Documentation and Technical training documents.
2) Development team needs to be prepared for post production defects; as sales order cycle is always only tested in production system.
BTW guy does not even know difference between Application server and Presentation server.
No doubt so many SAP projects are failing.
God help us.

I recall a few years ago being invited by a company to interview for a technical job that I thought I wasn’t qualified for. I was in a mandatory program after having been laid off and collecting unemployment, so I couldn’t turn down the interview. The engineers that I would have been working with refused to spend time interviewing me and I never could figure out why the company personnel office wanted me to come in. I later realized that the company needed to present evidence that they couldn’t find a qualified American for the job so that they could bring someone in on an HB1 visa. Those are the kinds of games that companies play in order to avoid hiring at market salaries.

I agree with you on corruption in india. But if you are advising americans or foriegners not to invest in india then you first learn what is cdo, siv, cds, possibility of dollar crash by mid 2009 and even then if you are convinced about your blabbering,okay india is a democratic country. Every fool can keep on blabbering as long as he wishes.

Not only are the BPO companies losing out on cost arbitrage but also on being a credible and deligent service provider to the parent companies. Incidents such as data theft reported in the Indian and foreign media have added to the woes of the BPO industry which, as rightly pointed out is sagging on account of poor business model. Survival would depend on service quality and innovative methods of service delivery.

Anything that goes up must come down.
Every industry will go thro a cycle of upheavals. Indian
Software industry is more dependant on Uncle Sam.
Hence the slowdown in IT !

If there is an Olympic event for corruption, Indians will win all the golds,silvers,bronzes and even rusted iron medals for a long time.
As for as the American election is concerned, American citizens are better judges. we should not influence or interfere in the election process.

Drucker taking about innovation and growth in economies states that US economy grew not becauese of big companies but because of entreprenuers.
